Here it is the schematic:
Each of those two buttons, when pressed, will make the Master send a different message via SPI to the Slave PIC. The Slave PIC will then show the message in the display.

I was simulating something in Proteus and it worked perfectly. But when I was going to test it for real it didn't work very well: there is a 4MHz crystal in the OSC1 and OSC2 pins but ... |

Thanks man, this has fixed the problem.
But I also tried something that worked: configuring the portb directions after the enable_interrupts. |

I am having a problem with interrupts: when I enable INT_EXT, it imediatly goes to the interrupt routine, no matter what border it was configured. I am simulating this in proteus so there is no bounci ... |
