Hello-
It is not at all clear (to me) how to set the PWM function. I have it working, but can't get a handle on what the value is doing.
I am using it to flash some LEDs. I turn off the LEDs with

That worked. I would never have figured that out. I didn't have a 5,000mcf, but I put a 1,000mcf in there (on the 7.5 supply) and my speaker switches.
So big thanks to you!
Will do ...

Hello. Thanks for all the comments.

There is a diode across the coil. Bar to the +, as shown in the diagram, except that it is actually external.

Edit* added diode across the contacts. It s ...

Hello!
I am using the PIC16877A to switch a relay. I'm using an NPN circuit with a 2k resistor on the base.

Thanks for the reply PCM. I did as suggested and no joy.
I eventually got it to work and for completeness, am posting the solution.
Turns out I was using the wrong function (I am definitely not sle ...

I copied this code from another thread and am unsure as to why it doesn't work.
I have read a ton of stuff on this forum and in the F877A data sheet about timer0, but I must be missing something.

Thanks!

But does the low voltage operating chip need to be programmed with low voltage? I'm confused...my USB puts out 5V, so how do I program with 3.3?

Hi-
I'm trying to make the jump from 5V to 3.3V and have had a series of bad decisions and things that don't work etc. I need to get a programmer-chip setup that is compatible with both MP Lab and th ...

Thanks- I just read operating voltage between 2.2 and 5.5 and thought I could use 3.3V. Shucks! In fact, I used the configurator on the Microchip website to select this chip specifically to be 3.3 ope ...

No, not a glitch, I had it set to "private". Not on purpose, obvs.
Also, the schematic as shown is incorrect - +5V should be +3.3V.
There is no 5V supply on my board.

Do I need special ...
