What code/value to use to represent keyboard 'ENTER' COMMAND
PostPosted: Wed Apr 07, 2004 8:33 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,

I am using PIC 16F877A to acquire a string of ASCII data from Hyperterminal.

To send numerical values from 0-9, we just TYPE in the key for the respective number on the KEYBOARD such as 0 to represent 0 and 7 to represent 7.

But what ASCII value is used to represent the ENTER command on the Keyboad?

What shall I type in the HYPERTERMINAL to send an ENTER command to the PIC? I mean what is EXACTLY being sent by Hyperterminal to PIC to represent the ENTER command?

Thanks a lot in advance.

The ascii character for zero is hex 30 and dec 048. Seven is hex 37 and decimal 55. The ENTER key is an ascii CR (hex 0D Decimal 13)

The ascii code table is here:
