Sending E-mail using a PIC16F877

Very Happy
I wondered if anyone has any code that would connect the PIC to the internet via the 232 port + modem. Log on to an ISP as a user. Navigate to the create e-mail. Write a basic e-mail and send. Sounds a lot I know but if anyone has I would appreciate a hand. PS PIC to Modem not a problem code all up and working.

There are a few useful pieces of code in the CCS examples for this.

The CCS examples, however, use a special chip (S7600A) that does all the internet work. So the PIC really doesn't do any of the PPP protocol for communicating over the internet.

Check out www.cermetek.com. They have a few modules that do what you want and are stand-alone.

If anyone can do all the work right from the PIC, then please post it here.

Thanks.
