What's the difference between a 24LC64 and a 24LC65, other than double the price? (this isn't a joke by the way )
From the datasheets it seems as though the page sizes are different, but other than that they look very similar. I suppose the '65 has an 'endurance block' for 10,000,000 write cycles. Perhaps this explains the higher price.
If this is the only difference, can I use the 2465.c driver for the 24LC64 device? Has anyone done this?

It appears that the 24LC64 has a 32 byte write buffer and the 24LC65 has a 64 byte write buffer. The 24LC65 also has a security feature where you can write-protect certain portions of the memory array. Read further down the spec sheet for the 24LC65 to read about it.

In terms of the difference in size of the write buffer, is it worth spending the extra money on the 24LC65? Will the bigger buffer size imcrease the speed at which data is written to it?
