FAST ADC

I'm trying build a digial osciloscope,
until now I have been using the
ADC built in de 18f452, some one
colud give me a clue about
the next step ? I was thinking about a
ADC of 20MSPS (HI1175JCB) or I should think in a
ADC + MC with DMA ??? someone
could suggest a good configuration with work to ?

Analog Circuit ---> ADC circuit ---> Buffer Circuit ---> MCxxxx

Check out www.bitscope.com

It's a commercial oscilloscope/logic analyzer/signal generator. All their specs - including hardware and software are posted on their site. Why not see how they do it?
