USB device not recognized by hiddemo
PostPosted: Fri Sep 22, 2006 12:37 pm     Reply with quote

Hello,

I install hiddemo on PC, and load ex_USB_hid.c to one USB(18F4550) device( not from CCS).

After running hiddemo.exe from CCS on PC, I connect my USB device to PC.
I can see "HID_Compliant device" and "USB Human Interface Device "(CCS HID Demo) on hardware manger of control panel on PC.

But on the display of hiddemo on PC, it shows " not connect ".
If I click button of " Establish Connection ", it shows " Could not connect : device not selected "

Is there anything wrong ?

Thanks.

It could be just the demo, try loading another demo like the mouse/keyboard demo. One of the first demos in the usb dev kit actually made my pc bluescreen because it establishes a connection then does nothing else. Something like the mouse demo that constantly communicates might work better for you.
just a thought,
Ringo
