LVP not working |

This is not a CCS related problem, but here it goes.
I tried to program a PIC18F452 using LVP with a simple JDM-based programmer with external power (similar to this one http://www.geocities.com/danolteanu/programator.GIF). It's not writing anything and it reads all FFFF.
With the programmer cable not connected to the PIC's board I have a 10K pulldown to ground. When I connect the cable it ties PGM to Vcc and the PIC enters LVP mode (its program locks up and after i remove the cable it restarts). The link to the programmer is only GND, PGD and PGC.
THe LVP bit is set. The Code protect is disabled. I have noticed some bad voltages on the PGD and PGC lines, like -0.6V instead of 0 and 5.8V instead of 5, but normal high-voltage programming works perfect.
Can anybody give me an idea about why is LVP not working for me? Thanks. |
