RC5 is high on power-up
Posted: Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:58 pm
Folks,
When I was setting up the internal OpAmp in PIC16HV785, I’ve noticed that RC6 was high on power-up. There was no additional initialization to the simple project wizard generated initialization (I can post my code).
I found a workaround. input(PIN_C6) removes the logic high output and the OpAmp1 works as expected.
Code:
input(PIN_C6);
setup_opamp1(TRUE);
I wonder why RC6 was high in the first place?

You need to show us what else you are configuring before this point. For some reason the output driver is being switched on (output_float(PIN_C6) would also solve the problem).
What compiler version?.
