version 4.133 compiler
PostPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:49 am     Reply with quote

The first thing I noticed was that a selection of my old code compiles and runs ok.

Relief as always.....

BUT in a welcome development,
I see in the 16F1509 header file - defines for use with new CCS support for the NCO and CWG modules.

But the user manual rev date is still about a year out of date - no apparent help there.

Has anybody on the forum got a an official (or semi-) reference to the use of these new functions ??

Or will I end up hacking away to see for myself Very Happy Very Happy

So... if I purchased 4.132 like a week ago.... I'm entitled to an upgrade to 4.133 right?

Its PCM.... and i see most changes will probably be irrelevant to me.

Thanks.

G.

Re upgrade?

Probably true on that front.

I have found CCS to be very generous and fair that way.

Have you tried the readme?.
Haven't got this version, but in the past 'new things' get documented in the readme.txt, perhaps six months before they appear in the manual.

THANKS for the tip Ttelmah.

i am a command line user
but did not realize there was a useful readme with each release.

unfortunately no DOC or MAN can be found there or anywhere on the NCO or CWG functs.

invoking the compiler with +? shows no doc in the help file either

i am OK to hacks away at it some and see what the LST file and a programmed chip DO - but i can't in good conscience tell other people to read the doc and follow it if i don't do that myself.

justs a bummer that there is no doc to follow in this case
