Hi all,
A friend of mine asked me to teach him some basic micro stuff and ive agreed to it...blinking leds, basic programing, etc... 101 stuff..
I was thinking of having him download the demo version to use in "Class"..
but i see that the demo version is valid for 45 days...
my question is: is it 45 days from download? or 45 days where you use the compiler?
i got 3 jobs and my time is limited... so i figure i could probably help him maybe once every 5 days.. or so... those 45 days would really fly by..
i really dont want him to pay for a compiler just yet... since i dont know how good of a teacher i can be...
thoughts?

I think, from when you install.
Could he start work with really small chips (PCB compiler)?.
Remember there is a free version of this included with things like MPLAB 8.xx (if you specify to include this), which is not 'time limited', so you could start using these chips and then move up to the demo, slightly further 'on'.
