pic16f877 with transceiver ping pong similar code

I have a project that has 2 units: front and back, each unit contains pic16f877a connected to rs232 transceiver with 4 pushbuttons and 4 leds.
I am looking for a sample code or similar code.
The project should work like this:
Side A person press (for example) blue button -> Side A transceiver sends 0x01 byte. If side B received the byte its sends a reply byte 0x02 and starts to blink the blue led. -> side A receives the reply byte and also starts to blink the blue led. -> side B person sees the blinking blue led and Ack to side A by pressing his blue button.-> Side B transceiver sends 0x03 byte. If Side A received the 0x03 byte its sends a reply byte 0x04 and turns on for permanent the blue led.->side B receives the 0x04 reply byte and turns on for permanent the blue led.
This should work for each button and each led.
