hi
I have CCS version of 4.047. I already have and existing code for the PIC16F1934 that needs modifying but when using MPLAB with CCS to try and compile the code I get ERROR (24) Unknown device type "PIC16F1934"

I looked in the CCS folder and I couldn't find the chip

how can I add the chip why is it not there?

your compiler is too old for that chip
can't be patched .
GO and
sign up for ccs support and all will be well in version 4.141
