[Solved] or [Unsolved]

Long time ago i was far away from CCS compiler, i work too much on Motorola devices, but the motivation to be pointed on others products has this forum and the help file of CCS, don't matter how much C you know, each compiler have him rules and tricks. Peoples here are nice, patient and don't throw with knifes in the beginners, in short terms give him the answers. Also the answers don't became after 1 year, when you throw away your project just for a little bug on a little misunderstanding, some great guys here with alot of knowledge give the right answer in less than 1 day. Day by day more topics will be on and more difficult to search the good answer, if its a simple question or frequent one, the search will return 1 million results, like that to read each topic without a good solution is a lot of wasting time. I think is more easy to pass unsolved topic just reading the title only, Solved or Unsolved.
I believe will be great and easy if everyone who get a good solution to edit the topic title with SOLVED or who knows, maybe unsolved. We will spend less time searching, also will get faster the answers just on first look on topic title. Like code library, is one of great move of this forum, someone can put a sticky, or just simply to add in forum rules, not as important one, just like a good option. Thanks for reading.

You will see a variety of 'ways people behave' here.

1) People who ask a genuine question, say when they have got a reply that works and sometimes will update with 'solved'. The rarest form.
2) People who ask questions, then ignore what they are told.
3) People who get an answer, but never come back and don't even post that it has worked for them.
4) People who take threads 'off' into strange directions not connected with the original question.
Several dozen other similar variants.

Sadly 2,3 & 4, (and the other variants) are very common, and (of course), on any of these genuine solutions (often multiple ones) will have been posted, but the original poster (who is the only one who can add '[solved]'), will never do so.

You will find a few places in the past where good threads have run, and because the poster is there and talking right to the end people have asked them to add the '[solved]', and this has happened. Unfortunately a lot of the posters don't do this.

I totally agree with you. Even before your post, I marked the helpful reply to my post as [SOLVED]. Other times I were directed to search the forum. After a lot of time of going through unmarked UN-SOLVED threads, I kinda got frustrated and still waiting on an answer, Just kidding! It is very helpful if the subject line is accurate and marked as SOLVED, it will be very helpful to those who are searching for similar question/answer.
I love this forum. There are a lot of helpful people here, Most time they will give you help or guide you to the right direction in a very short time. They deserve to be thanked and let know that there input was helpful.

I learn a lot from the members of this forum, Thank you for your time and effort.

'Solved', and 'unsolved' have existed for years, and there are times when people will do it.

Problem is that a lot of threads are not re-visited by the people who start them (we tend to get a huge 'swathe' at particular times of the year, with 'university projects', and people seeking a simple answer). Then there is a second problem that a lot of threads do not have simple 'this has been solved' results.

It's actually rather remarkable that in the last few days there has been a whole crop of threads with answers. Unusual....
