symbol map menu item ghosted?
PostPosted: Sun Aug 29, 2010 10:50 am     Reply with quote

In my IDE (version 4.111) the "View->Symbol Map" menu item used to work fine but now it is ghosted. I can still view the symbol map by manually loading the ".sym" file into the editor.

Did I accidentally disable the menu item somehow? What can I do to restore it?

I would try a uninstall/reinstall.

Mine is in a different place under Compile->Symbol Map but it works fine in 4.111.

I have had this problem since I installed PCWH 4.105. Till now it hasn't bothered me. But that has changed. I have done a reinstall of 4.105 and there is no change.

Are there any other thoughts on why "Symbol Map" is ghosted out? Thanks.

Had a thought, I do notice I didn't have "ideutils" loaded for the 4.105 version. So I dug out the version for 4.101 and installed that (somehow managed to miss on downloading the version that went with 4.105). Did not make a difference to the ghosting. Do I need "ideutils" for 4.105 to get rid of the ghosting? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

I honestly don't know why the item is ghosted but I always download the
compiler and utils and store them as a set then install them as a set.

Yep, just plain forgot to download that part and it had no immediate impact on me.

I have gone back to a full install of 4.001 and there is exactly the same ghost problem. And that is with the ideutils for that version installed.

Sounds like time to send an email to CCS tech support...
