Make checksum in the PIC or copy protection?

Hi

I want some copy protection or call it code change protection in my program, but how ?

CCS function #id checksum is it possible to make a verify on execute time in the PIC. I want a function to compare the CCS #id checksum with it.

#id checksum is stored in EEPROM.

Why not just use the code protection fuses?. Superior to anything you are likely to generate on your own.
Remember you can set the chip to still allow a bootloader to operate, then add an encryption algorithm to this, and depending on how 'strong' this is, even people with your supplied code, to write the program, won't be able to tell what goes into the chip.
