USB demo program
PostPosted: Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:33 pm     Reply with quote

Hi,

I just received my PIC18 Starter Kit.

I want to design and test a simple program where the demo board sends a packet to the PC and the PC shows it on the monitor.

I finished the firmware for PIC, and I want to test it on PC.

The ex_usb_hid.c file states that there is hiddemo.exe file where we can
monitor this stuff. But it is no where to find.

Where can I find this file? Thank you.

I'd call or email CCS to ask where after I checked the CD to see what's there first.

PIC18 Starter Kit is a Microchip product. It won't have any CCS code on
the CD. CCS used to have a button on their compiler download page
for the USB files, which included the hiddemo.exe file. But that button
isn't there anymore. If you own the compiler, email CCS nicely and ask
for the file. They might email it to you.

Default Vendor Id is 1234(decimal)

Product Id is 1(decimal)

Hope this helps
