about EX_SISR.C

Can someone explain to me, how the example ex_sisr.c works step by step? I can't understand all of it. I tried but no success. So confused. Pls need your help. I think this might a big help for my code "receiving text command" to my thesis project.

In order to know what's going on 'step by step' I suggest the following.

You should create a very small program that uses it, compile, run to confirm it works. Then, dump the listing (programname.lst). Use the PIC datasheet, instruction set section to 'decode' what the PIC is doing.
If you use a 16F877 there's only 35 instructions making it easy to figure out what is going on.
C code, like all 'high level languages', gets converted into assembler (machine code) that the PIC executes so the ONLY way you'll really know 'step by step' what's going on is to learn machine code (aka the PIC instruction set).
