I don't want to discourage you.
(I've had my knuckles rapped by the moderator more than once.)

Several of the regulars here have have around half a century's experience, each.
They WILL help you. Search this forum to see what has been done on the past.
However, you have to make it easy, so far you persist in being difficult.

If you really want help, YOU have to co-operate.

As others have pointed out, you need to break down your program into small 'sections'. Work on one , get it going, then go to the next. There is an obvious logical progression(get PIC to work, get LCD to work, test ADC,deal with battery interface, charge algorithm, etc.)
This does sound like a 'class project' ( time running out, left to the last minute..). If so you HAD lots of time, probably a few weeks( ?) to get it 'up and running'. You've fallen into the 'Internet trap' where you think you can 'cut and paste' some code here, more there, add your name and it works.NOW you see ...hmm.. it 'doesn't work'.
Yup, welcome to my world, welcome to the real world. The project you've chosen is a 'smart battery charger/maintainer', does require at least 2 weeks of concentrated effort AFTER you've become familiar with PICs, breadboards and the compiler. That's no music,no friends,no parties, no 'life'.
Just cutting code, testing, recoding, retesting until the wee hours of the morning. You should be able to talk to your classmates assuming you're all using PICs and the CCS compiler. We can help with specific problems but need specific data not just 'it doesn't work'.
One area is monitoring the battery voltage. Does the PIC read and display it correctly ? If not, display the raw data from the ADC and manually convert to see if it's what a DVM says the battery is.
One step at a time, building on what you learn.
Also, be sure to copy your old version to a new one, makes changes on the new one,NEVER make a lot of changes at a time...you'll get lost trying to figure out what's wrong.
Slow and steady progress and you'll get t done.
