Problem w/ older MACHX |

I'm trying to use an older version MachX with the newest firmware (Hardware rev 2, firmware 1.26) with ccsload software version 5.019 on a windows 7 machine. I'm using the ZIF socket
Fails miserably, with the target device ID reading zeros.
The Messages tell me:

11:20:32 Loaded: PIC12F617
11:20:32 Write FILE -> CHIP

But I get a Programming Failed message.
Using the same hardware on my laptop, running software version 4.045, everything works!!
Any fixes? I assume it's a bug, as the old version works. I'm not set up right now to see if the ICD works. |

Did you let CCS know yet? I've run into similar problems with the load-n-go where new FW revs completely break an old HW rev unit, and certain ccsload revs do the same.
To be honest, you're probably not going to get any resolution. It's been almost 3 years since I let them know about the load-n-go issue I first discovered in front of customers (! - last time I blindly updated my load-n-go) and I still have no fix. I believe my unit is HW rev 2 and they're currently selling HW rev 4 units. They're just not actively supporting the older stuff anymore. |

I just sent them off a copy of the post. I figured I'd try to figure it out first. |
