Measuring an unknown crystal's frequency

I am running a 18F458 at 20MHz. I would like to measure the frequency of an external crystal that would be running between 17MHz and 36MHz. Does anybody know where I can find a neat small circuit that I can use to pass the crystal frequency into the PIC's RTCC.
