LCD-Driver Problem

Hello,
I've got this LCD driver from a friend.
The only problem abour it: This driver is adapted to PORTB, but I need the Interrupt-Pins on this port for another application.

I have difficulties to understand this pragram exactly and wanted to ask if anybody could modify the driver for me to the following allocation:

RC0: D1
RC1: D2
RC2: D3
RC3: D4

RB0: RS
RB1: E
RB2: R/W

I'm using the PIC16C773 (CCS-Compiler...).

you can look at this driver as example of how to modify your driver.

Is it correct that I just have to modify this part of my driver:

If that's the case, I don't see how to change the allocation by using two different ports. (I'm using PORTB for E, RS, R/W and PORTC for datapins).

read these to fully understand how lcd works and you will sure know how to modify your code. you can even write your own after this, like using shift register to save some ports.

I don't have the time to do this.
Wouldn't it be possible, that you just tell me how I have to modify the lcd_pin_map if i'm using two different ports.

PORTB for E, RS, R/W and PORTC for datapins

That's everything I have to know.

Look at Mark's driver for the split port example, or
if you can't figure that out, then look at my driver
for a quick solution:
