Hello,
I have my program to Hi-Tech or Mplab c18 and now I need an ICD to debug it. I have the ICD u40.
Can I use my ICD u40 to do it??
Other option would be compile with CCS compiler, but I dont Know if
I could use it to compile my program, because I don't know if the CCS compiler and the MPLAB have different instructions.
Thanks |

You can use the ICD U40 by itself as a programmer with the appropriate software (download from the CCS web page). But it cannot act as the ICD debugger under MPLAB.
CCS C vs PICC vs HiTec C are all slightly different. You will likely need to do some editing of the source files to make them compile with one of the CCS compilers. _________________ Rob Young
